Our Mission
The Mounted Horse Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting horsemanship, youth development, equine sports, and community engagement through mounted horse ambassadors. We are committed to: • Supporting youth riders in rodeo, equine sports, and leadership development • Preserving and promoting safe horsemanship practices • Providing educational outreach and community events featuring mounted horses • Encouraging responsibility, discipline, and integrity through equestrian involvement • Strengthening the bond between horses and the communities they serve Our mounted ambassadors are civilian volunteers who represent the values of sportsmanship, service, and education. We are not a law enforcement agency, and our riders do not exercise police authority. Through equine outreach, youth sponsorships, and community partnerships, we strive to inspire the next generation while honoring the tradition and strength of the horse.
Our Vision
We envision a future where mounted units are fully integrated into community life - not only as a tool for public safety but as a bridge for healing, education, and connection between people and horses.
Our History
The Mounted Horse Foundation was formed to support mounted horse activities within our community and to preserve the tradition of mounted horsemanship. Originally connected to efforts supporting mounted programs associated with public safety, the Foundation has since evolved into an independent nonprofit organization focused on youth sponsorship, equine sports, and civilian mounted ambassador outreach. As our community and partnerships have grown, so has our mission. Today, the Mounted Horse Foundation operates independently as a private charitable organization. We support: • Youth competitors in rodeo and equine sports • Educational equine outreach events • Community ambassador riding programs • Horsemanship training and development Our transition reflects our commitment to clarity, integrity, and community impact. While we honor the historical role horses have played in public safety and service, our current focus is centered on civilian ambassador programs, youth advancement, and equestrian sport development. The strength of the horse. The heart of the community. The future of youth in equine sports.
